Bio
Henry Mohr is a jazz drummer, composer, and arranger currently based in Miami, Florida. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, where he studied with Ed Mays and Steve Korn. While in Seattle he played drums for the Roosevelt High School Jazz band, the Bellevue College Big Band, and various student led small groups.


Currently, Henry attends the Frost School of Music, at the University of Miami, where he studies with David Chiverton and Grammy Award winning drummer, Dafnis Prieto. He is well known in Miami as a formidable accompanist playing in the Eric Stern Quartet, the Zaq Davis Quartet, the Louis Amanti band, and various groups at the Frost School of Music, including the award winning Frost Studio Jazz Band.
Henry is also known as a rising composer and arranger primarily in the jazz idiom. His compositions are heavily influenced by the music of Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis, and his arrangements are influenced by the music of Count Basie, Thad Jones, and Bill Holman.
